Security Monitor

Monitor security across JDE from a single dashboard. Security Management in Clarity provides the information you need to proactively spot security gaps and satisfy audits.

Security Management Summary

  • Password Exceptions — the number of users in the system who do not require a password change. Click on the box to see which IDs are set up with exceptions.
  • Invalid Attempts — the number of users who have unsuccessfully attempted to log in. Click on the box to scan users and quickly spot excessive failed login attempts. This may point to suspicious activity.
  • Roles w/o Environments — the number of roles in the system that don’t have environments assigned. Click to see a detailed list and clear out the excess. If there is an issue with new role set up and users can't log in to a particular environment, Roles w/o Environments is a good place to start.
  • Sensitive Application Access — the number of applications deemed sensitive in the JDE system. Click for an in-depth look at the applications and the users accessing them.
  • Last Collected — the last time data was collected (as defined in self-service settings). A date that appears red is no longer collecting. Please contact support.
  • User Status — the number of enabled/disabled users. Click to see a detailed list.
  • Security Workbench — the number of security records that exist in the F00950 table and the percent of records set at the user level. This percentage should remain as low as possible.
  • Security Activity — the number of times a security application is used and tasks are performed
  • Security Health — key security metrics at a glance. Watch for red alerts indicating an issue.

Aging Report

Use the information in the Aging Report section to clean up your security system. Users may be disabled if they haven’t logged in over the last 45 days or if their roles have expired.

Suspicious Login Activity

If a user ID logs in from two separate IPs at the same time an alert will appear here.
