How to add keywords in Clarity

New Clarity accounts are set up with a default list of active keywords. Learn how to customize the list to make sure Clarity is pulling the most meaningful logs for your company.

ERP Suites CNCs have defined a list of 31 keywords to catch the most common signs of trouble. These are activated by default with every new Clarity account setup. Still, you may want to capture more. Follow these steps to modify the list to best reflect your environment:

  • Click Settings in the left sidebar and select Collector.
  • Go to the Log Parser Keywords tab.
  • Type a keyword in the field and click the Add button to include it in the list of keywords. Clarity searches keywords exactly as they are written so you may add multiple variations to cast the widest net on your JDE logs. (i.e., Fail, FAILED, failure, Failed:)
  • Then, select Yes in the Active column for each new keyword.
  • You can also stop Clarity from searching on default keywords by selecting clicking No in the Active column.

Once added, you can set up a personal subscription to be alerted whenever the keyword appears.
